Madiha Khalid, MA, LMHC

As a licensed Mental Health Counselor, I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. My approach to counseling is client-centered, strength-based and solution-focused.  I meet each individual where they are in their life and work to facilitate meaningful and lasting change, using a combination of techniques. My approach accentuates human resilience rather than human pathology; my focus is to look towards solutions rather than dwelling on problems.

It is my belief that each individual holds within themselves, the resources to change, and that counseling can help access these resources. In my work with individuals I incorporate cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, mindfulness, and narrative modalities, all within a strength-based framework.

My education and experience allow me to work with a variety of people, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, codependency, relational distress, trauma, adjustment disorders, domestic violence, self-esteem, and more.

I provide both brief and long-term therapy. The length of treatment varies based on the client.
