My approach is brief, systemic, strength centered, client directed, and outcomes-focused. My expertise covers a wide variety of clinical issues, including relational and family distress, loss and trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and personal wellness. With specific expertise in working with men, I also provide executive coaching for career transition and leadership development. I believe that each individual has unique and inherent personal qualities necessary for empowering change, creating fulfilling relationships and leading a meaningful life. My clients typically engage in counseling weekly from four to six months. I have access to in and out-of-network specialists and offer daytime appointments.

More than 27 years of experience as a counselor and educator in helping individuals, couples, and families understand, embrace, and create positive changes in their lives.
I also provide advanced postmodern clinical supervision for recent graduates and seasoned mental health professionals.
Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado
Master of Science degree in Counseling from Winona State University
Ph.D. in Counseling from Oregon State University.
I currently serve as co-chair of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling specialization at Antioch University Seattle
Licensed mental health counselor in the State of Washington (Lic: LH60219898), and a national certified counselor.
I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), and adhere to the ethical codes of professional conduct by the ACA, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and the National Board of Certified Counselors.
I am a preferred provider with Premera, Regence, United Behavioral Health, First Choice, Aetna, Kaiser Permanente (KFHP) and Wellspring EAP.
