Philosophy and Approach
Serves (ages 21+) Couples & Individuals
As a licensed marriage and family therapist (Lic: LF60090294), I view each individual’s problems in the context of their life and relationships. My approach to therapy is best described as brief evidenced-based, relational, client centered, and outcomes-focused. I provide therapy services to individuals and couples whose interests are personal growth and development, relationship enhancement, individual and career transitions. I also provide therapy services for individuals, couples and families diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I often assign homework and ask clients to read pertinent articles. When appropriate, I use assessment tools and questionnaires to gather additional information. The length of treatment varies from client to client and couple to couple, generally ranging from one to four months.
Experience and Education
I am a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and an Approved Supervisor. My education, training and experience have prepared me to counsel individuals of all ages, ethnicities, race, religion, and sexual orientation. When not counseling clients in private practice, I serve as Teaching Faculty at Antioch University Seattle's School of Applied Psychology, Couples and Family Therapy specialization, and supervise postmaster’s interns working toward licensure. I am completing a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Specialization in Couples Therapy at Northcentral University.
