About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), an AAMFT and Washington State Approved Supervisor, and the Owner and Clinical Director of Envision Counseling, PLLC. I provide therapy services to individuals and couples. My education, training, and experience have prepared me well to provide multiculturally responsive therapy services for individuals of all ages, ethnicities, races, religions, genders, and sexual orientations.

Approach to Therapy

I approach each individual’s challenges within the context of their life and relationships. My therapeutic style is characterized by its systemic nature, client-centered emphasis, and outcomes focus. My clinical interests include developing communication strategies to enhance openness, understanding, and intimacy; assisting in post-infidelity reconciliation; shifting negative relational patterns to positive ways of being and interacting; and fostering personal and professional growth and well-being. I often assign homework and encourage clients to engage with relevant articles. Additionally, I use assessment tools and questionnaires as needed to gain clinical information. The duration of treatment varies for each individual or couple, typically ranging from three to nine months.

When I am not offering therapy services in private practice or supervising postgraduate therapists and counselors, I provide NBCC-approved comprehensive clinical and supervisor training.

Experience & Education

In 2020, I earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a specialization in Couple Therapy from Northcentral University. In 2013, I received the Educator of the Year award from the Washington State Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. To broaden my systemic training as a consultant to family-owned businesses, I completed in 2007, a Master’s Certificate in Organization, Management and Development from Fielding Graduate University. In 2003, I  obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology, Child, Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle.

Academic Appointments

From 2009 to 2023, I served as faculty at Antioch University Seattle in the School of Counseling, Therapy, and Wellness, and the Counselor Education and Supervision program. From 2021 to 2022, I served as Adjunct Faculty in the Master’s and Doctorate Marriage and Family Therapy Programs at Northcentral University in Scottsdale, AZ.
